Shooting stars at Curries Fountain

Members of the African National Congress in KwaZulu Natal took to Curries Fountain sportsfield on Sunday 9 March 2014 to show that they still possess skills on the soccer field. The leadership took on Rock Stars XI, which was a team consisting of recognised people from the entertainment industry, including musician Zakes Bantwini, in the first soccer match for the 2014 season played by the ANC Provincial Executive Committee. MEC for Human Settlements and Public Works, Ravi Pillay had nostalgic memories from when he used to visit Curries Fountain in his youth. The ANC team was led by KZN Premier Senzo Mchunu who was delighted by their 5-4 win. He emphasised the importance of physical education and sport to the youth.
